Balsamic Glaze Roasted Brussels Sprouts w/ Almonds Recipe:
Yield: 4 Servings
Cook Time: 40 Min
Ingredients:
- 1 Lb Brussels Sprouts, Halved
- 1/8 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Honey or Agave
- 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- 1.5 Tbsp Olive Oil (1 Tbsp for Roasting)
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- ¼ Cup Slivered Almonds
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Wash brussels sprouts and dry them with a towel. Cut the end “nubs” off each sprout.
3. Cut each sprout in half, lengthwise next.
4. Toss brussels sprouts in salt, pepper, and 1 Tbsp olive oil.
5. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey or agave, remaining ½ Tbsp olive oil, and balsamic vinegar together. Add garlic, mix.
6. Toss the sprouts with the balsamic vinegar mixture.
7. Roast on a lightly greased sheet tray or use a Silpat. Roast sprouts for 10-12 minutes or until the leaves begin to crisp up on the edges.
8. Toss brussels sprouts with almonds and serve immediately, enjoy!
Tips/Tricks:
- You can also use shallots instead of garlic for even more flavor in this dish!
