Ginger Infused Milk

Feeling sick or down with the flu? Nausea from morning sickness or nausea in general?

Try drinking a glass of warm ginger infused milk. I know it might not sound like it will work, but this is a tried & true recipe I have used throughout the years!

It's simple to make and only requires a few ingredients! I hope you enjoy & I hope it helps whenever you have a stomachache!

Ginger Milk:

Yield: 4-6 Servings

Cook Time: 15 Min

Ingredients:

- 1 Large Knob of Fresh Ginger

- 1 Cup Water

- 1 Cup Oatmilk or Whole Milk

- 1 tsp Sugar In The Raw

Directions:

1. Gather all ingredients. Wash ginger and dry using a towel.

2. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small pot. While water is heating, peel ginger using the back of a spoon.

3. Next, grate ginger using the smallest grate on a cheese grater. Remove the water from the heat once it boils & add the shredded ginger- let infuse.

4. Let the ginger infuse in the water until it reaches room temperature. Strain out the ginger chunks using a fine mesh strainer.

5. Reserve the cooled ginger infused water in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 7 days. (Add a date label so you don’t forget! :))

6. Whenever you’d like to prepare a glass, simply warm 1 cup of desired milk, add 2 tsp of the ginger infused water & 1 tsp sugar and stir. Enjoy!

Tips/Tricks:

- You can use the remaining ginger infused water to make a hot cup of tea!

- This recipe is super helpful for morning sickness & helped my mom through 4 pregnancies!
